Saint Paul Congregational Council
meets the third Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in
the Friendship Room, unless otherwise noted on the monthly calendar.
Saint Paul Executive Committee meets the third Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. in the
Friendship Room, unless otherwise noted on the monthly calendar. Altar Guild: The Altar Guild assists in the preparation of the Sacrament of Holy Communion and to vest the Altar with the proper colors.
Outreach Committee: The Outreach Committee seeks to reach out to our neighbors in Christ. It seeks to do so by strengthening our commitment to service, mission, and growth. They meet the first
Monday of the month at
6:30 p.m. in the Friendship Room. An extension to the Outreach Committee is the
Care Bearers Group. Care Bearers Ministry includes visits to the homebound, those recently hospitalized, the bereaved and new parents. The groups makes small gifts to take to those who visit.
Parish Education Committee: The Parish Education Committee oversee the education opportunities offered by the church. Through Sunday School, Bible Studies and other activities the committee works to provide a Christian education.
They meet the first Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. in the Friendship Room.
Property Committee: The Property Committee oversees the physical upkeep of the Church properties.
Social Ministry Committee: The Social Ministry Committee helps promote the mission of the church by service to the social needs of the members of the church and the community. Saint Paul Lutheran Church is a Red Cross Shelter and in times of emergency this committee meets the need of those seeking help. They are responsible for Second Chance Emporium a second hand thrift store that is operated solely by volunteers. All monetary income is donated to AMEN, the Youth Activity Center, and other non-profit organizations.
They meet the first Thursday of month at 7:00 p.m. in the Friendship Room.
Mutual Ministry Committee: This committee strengthens the mission of the congregation and the ministry of the staff. It seeks to identify and resolve conflicts within the congregation and it supports the staff it its ministry.
Stewardship Committee: They keep the concepts of Biblical Stewardship in view of the congregation by providing leadership with planning programs and encouraging members to generously share their resources for the mission of the Christ's church. The Finance Committee is a sub-committee of the Stewardship Committee and is focused on the Financial aspect of Stewardship.
Worship Committee: The Worship Committee seeks to inspire the congregation to a more active participation in the worship services. They plan the worship services, enlist and train lay leaders, provide and maintain worship aids, oversee seasonal decoration music and worship staff and other worship related tasks.
They meet the first Tuesday of the month at 6:00 p.m. in the Friendship Room.
Youth Committee: The youth committee provides ministry to and with young people, so that they may grow in faith and in their understanding of themselves as members of the congregation; They work for the involvement of young people in all aspects of the congregation.
They meet the first Tuesday of the month, following the Parish Ed meeting, about
6:45 p.m. in the Friendship Room.
